TorchLeech available for Mac?
May 18, 2010 -- Sorry, no support for Mac from our side because we have no hardware and no idea how to develop for OS-X. By the way, here is a short info from RGF:
Do PC mods work for the Mac?
Yes, they can work. However, a significant problem may occur if the mod uploader used a PC and includes .adm files. These files are the compressed version of the .dat files, which are the files that hold the information. The compression used on the PC and Mac are different, and thus if a Mac user tries to load a mod that includes PC-based .adm files, or vice-versa, the game will likely crash. In the future we will warn uploaders to remove all .adm files from their mods to promote compatibility and lower file sizes.
Where do I install my mods?
Mods should be unzipped to ~user\Library\Application Support\Runic Games\Torchlight\Mods\
Runic Games Fansite: Torchlight reached Half Million Sales!
May 16, 2010 -- Runic Games announced two days ago that their critically-acclaimed ARPG Torchlight bypassed the half a million mark in sales, and officially went Gold. This milestone was achieved just weeks before the release of the Mac version of Torchlight, available now on Steam for Mac.
With a half-million sales BEFORE the Mac release and who knows what future products or ports on the way, it looks like this Indie developer is here to stay! If you make the assumption that they get at least 10 dollars for every sale (after half-off and quarter-off sales, and taxes, etc) then that means in the past 8 months they have made around 5 million dollars in profits.
Torchlight patch 1.16 with mod subscription
April 01, 2010 -- we are proud to announce a cooperation with Runic Games for a monthly mod subscription to support TorchLeech development/service. The upcoming game patch 1.16 will introduce the subscription in form of a serial code number which must be provided (ingame or configured in TLeech 1.6) in order to be able to use any mods. This serial code comes along with several subscription options - $3.00 (Basic - allows up to 15 mods; 3 downloads/day via TLeech) up to $5.00 (Premium - unlimited) per month. Be sure to check out the official website and our homepage again later to get more information about this upcoming feature and its payment methods (PayPal, MasterCard, ELV...).
Edit: Time to relax, just an April Fools' joke.

Spotlight #2: What's going on at the mod scene?
February 15, 2010 -- nearly a month ago we published our first spotlight on the modding scene. We got so much positive feedback that we decide to release another spotlight:
Let's start with few words in relation to the last spotlight: Asmodeo releases a first beta version of his new class Demonologist, be sure you grab your copy of this 25 MiB mod monster. Besides this Warlord of Destruction the maker of Airbender publishes the Spirit Dancer with a totally different concept of gameplay. This "Vanquisher" like female use a large amount of AoE spells. She kites her opponents and gather them in large groups to fight against them with wind, earth and fire. Nethellus is working on his new clas Invoker (not released yet); another class with new gameplay features.
But for what you need new classes when content is missing? No fun to play the same content again and again? No problem guys, grab your weapons and get ready to clear the Goblin Stronghold Campaign! Arachnia master to develop a campaign out of dungeons with tons of scripts, bossfights and love for details on the maps. It is not finished yet but really playable so far. Or do you like the original places of Torchlight? Add new challenges with Champions Mod and the Gorilla's Monster Pack and change the default map layout with the Mine Booster Pack and Wamingo's Maps for new game experiences at old places.
Take a look at the perfect reskinning of all vanquisher armor: Whitecloak Vanquisher. Maybe you want to play the beauty version of your babe with Vanquisher Beauty. Really nice heh? We are on the run, let us Face Lift some more characters in Torchlight.
So far so good... other stuff? Torchlight Armory has reached a stable and full featured status, where you can browse, filter and watch all weapons and armors in 3D. Check it out! The semi-professional Brad Myers has done a remake of the Contruct from the scratch - really interesting thread with many images. At the end of this spotlight, i want to point to the new TownProps from Revility, who could make the first step on creating new towns...
Runic Games Fansite: MotW - Starch the Monster Hunter
February 13, 2010 -- every Saturday RGF will spotlight a new Torchlight mod that is worth checking out. Also the results won't necessarily be restricted to mods hosted on our own Mods Database. Thanks to TorchLeech we know of a high number of quality mods hosted around the net, and the ones that stand out will also be featured. With that, RGF announce their first ever spotlight: Starch the Monster Hunter!
Runic Games Fansite: Winners of "Best Mod Contest" (2009)
February 13, 2010 -- RGF offered a best mod contest with copies of Torchlight, a T-Shirt with signatures of developers from Runic Games and special forum avatars at the site at the last year. Take a look at the the winners!
TorchLeech 1.5 released!
February 12, 2010 -- new design, savegame editor, improved conflict check and bugfixes:

Improved: Delete savegames from the analyser dialog (new button).
Improved: Conflict check can detect same object names in DAT files (seperate option).
Improved: More progress status messages (downloading, installing, checking conflicts with seperate steps).
Improved: Support for split of setting files since patch 1.15 for Torchlight.
Improved: Use MD5 hashes to identify identical files on conflict check (only for same filenames to skip them).
Improved: New button (mod detail panel) to show dependencies before mod installation.
Changed: Remove "Add feature..." and "Rate the mod..." from request dialog.
Fixed: Conflict check does not find same GUIDs in files related to monsters/maps. (extend processing to "media\units").
Fixed: Installed mods are not listed in /offline mode (or without an internet connection).
Fixed: Crossed dependencies (mod A needs B and B nees A) results in duplicated mods to install.
Fixed: Integrated browser should cancel GoogleAds scriptings because of annoying errors with IE.
The next major release is out: We have redone the design to support theming, you can choose between themes in the options. We support SVTInfo 1.1 and implemented a savegame editor to change most common values. Be sure to update to the latest version of SVTInfo 1.1 (we recommend to use the version from our TLeech database)! The progress feedback is much more better than before, you get more information on current actions while the tool is busy. The conflict check was improved and extended with a new check for same object names. And we have find some bugs which are fixed in the release.
TorchLeech is freeware but you can reward our work on this project with a small donation via PayPal if you want (see at top of the page).
Runic Games: Torchlight Patch 1.15 released!
February 04, 2010 -- JediFreeman announced the release of patch 1.15 which includes 5 new challenge room maps to test your bravery and wit! You can also activate the "Ferret" pet with the mod of the same name for non-boxed versions. Torchlight split the settings into two files now! We recommend not to use the settings editor until TLeech supports this new behaviour.
WikiWikiWeb
January 28, 2010 -- we launch a wiki section with an user manual, complete changelog, developer corner in more detail, an easier handling for maintaining the translations. More content is coming up - check it out!
TorchLeech 1.4a released!

Improved: Press [ESC] should close dialogs and reset search results (if search box is focused).
Changed: Switch the columns in the dependency dialog to better understand the function of checkboxes.
Fixed: Minor UI bugs and alignment problems of some components.
Fixed: Un-/install and de-/activate buttons are active on all mods (even if you can not install/activate).
Fixed: User repositories with relative download addresses does not support preview image + RTF.
This version is a subrelease but has two really big features: We support language files (UTF-16) and users are helping us to translate TLeech into 10 languages so far - thanks at all of you. Go to the language pack section for downloads. We introduce our support for mattdesls TorchTools since he worked hard on our development requests. The result of this efforts is SVTInfo which make it possible to announce the brand new "Analyze savegames" function (see Extras). For this, you must download the mod "SVTInfo" (from the mod list) to the TorchLeech folder.
SVTInfo has beta status - please post your feedback at mattdesls forum thread (Runic Games).
Spotlight #1: What's going on at the mod scene?
January 20, 2010 -- the game was shipped several month ago. The modding scene grows daily and all of us looking for "really new content" besides all the great stuff like new maps, reworked classes, potions and enchantments. Some players get bored after weeks, because you can beat Torchlight after 15 hours playtime. That is a good deal for 20 bucks. But everyone wants to know if there are blockbusters in work, not?
First of all there are some mods already out which should be mentioned: Starch the Monster Hunter is the first tiny "addon" with a new npc, quest and a beautiful map with a complete new encounter versus the (hidden) tentacle boss - most players called this an "epic fight". On your way to reach the level for this encounter you should consider to take a look on the Merchant Pack which get the town back to live with new npcs. The mod cleans up all copies and resellings between the merchant inventories so that they are more "unique". You defeat the game with all three classes? Airbender and Gale's Barbarian are balanced classes which are waiting to splash monsters.
Good stuff... but nothing really impressive. Oh rly? Let us go ahead and take a look at the work in process. Maybe the largest impact on the modding scene could have the Decimator Robot. This is the first semi-professional class with a new model, new animations, sounds, textures and skills. Slybones managed to get the Decimator into the game already and amazing us with preview videos (links in the thread) - promising. The final release could be shipped at march. Another shining light seems to be the Demonologist - a warlock themed class with over 50 new skills/talents (including impressive particle effects). Asmodeo is on the way to get his demon master to beta status in the next few weeks.
Slow down... now we jump to concepts and demonstrations. A fresh breeze was the outdoor demonstration from the Gorilla Zoo. More and more modders follow this way to break out of deep dungeons. Revility made the next step and release his first version of Cliffside - a new titleset for outdoor themed maps. The player 'Dev' demonstrates with his Torchlight Inspired Textures that we have some talented artists out there too. Just take a look through his thread and multiple textures.
Maybe all these resources could be the base for TorchlightCC. This group of modders wants to create a large "community campaign". This should be enough for the first spotlight - see you at the next one...
